Fire Rescue personnel rescued a lost hunter and four dogs after a six-hour search Wednesday night in a Puna forest.
Fire Rescue personnel rescued a lost hunter and four dogs after a six-hour search Wednesday night in a Puna forest.
According to the Hawaii Fire Department, the hunter’s girlfriend reported at about sunset that her boyfriend was lost and he told her by mobile phone that he felt like “he was walking in circles and he was out of water.”
The woman told dispatchers the man has a medical condition.
The rescuers found the man and his dogs uninjured in the Kahaualea Natural Area Reserve.
